In March 2016 I finally done something I'd been dreaming about for many, many years - my first solo gig as a Jazz Guitarist. As with any craft worthy of the name I still have a lot of learning to do but nothing was thrown at the stage and I escaped with my dignity relatively intact - there was even the odd smattering of applause so......I hope to do more in the future and when I do I'll use this site to highlight them. In the meantime below is a recording of "My Funny Valentine" at that first gig - apologies for the sound quality.
As far as 'the day job' is concerned I'm a senior manager/professional with more than 20yrs high-profile experience in Operations, Management Information and Third-Party Governance roles. I've worked across a broad range of different sectors (Investment banking, Life & Pensions, BPO Service Companies) and with global organisations like Barclays, Standard Life, Prudential and the Capita Group.
In 2015 I established my own boutique Management Consultancy - We Are Flat Five - and have already secured contracts with International Finance Data Services and Prudential UK. I'm absolutely passionate about the design and delivery of clear, accurate & actionable management information and then using that to continually improve service governance & delivery. The key thing I'm looking for in any role is impact – the chance to make a tangible difference to the way an organisation functions using data and governance in smart and innovative ways.
